Best Circularity Initiative – under 30 million turnover company
BAM Clothing + Project Plan B
Honoured to jointly receive the Drapers award for Best Circularity Initiative 2022, Project Plan B and Bam are celebrating the success of the ground breaking 73 Zero jacket.
‘This award proves the process of using joined up thinking between brands and recyclers to create genuinely circular offerings’ – Tim Cross, CEO
The judges said the QR code was a neat touch that would incentivise people to take the jacket back at the end of its life. They also noted that other brands could implement the learnings from BAM Clothing and Project Plan B’s collaboration: “Many other businesses have a similar product, and could be inspired to implement a circular approach.
Project Plan B’s founders have taken their research and expertise used in this collaboration and set up the Circular Textiles Foundation a not for profit body that brings together brands and learnings from fibre to fibre recycling technologies to accelerate the transition to circular clothing. Their aim is for as many brands as possible to be able to design and create garments that can be recycled at end of use.
